Objectives This module will address basic knowledge about radionuclide renal scans. The types of available tests, the advantages and indications for each type of tests and how to report each test. Artifacts and pitfalls will be discussed.
Representative scans with their reports will also be discussed.
This module has 78 slides and will take about 2 hours to complete.

There are 5 formative questions based on the knowledge at that stage within the presentation and 5 summative questions at the end.

Overall objectives
After going through this e-learning resource, the reader will have a general idea of the strengths of nuclear medicine in renal imaging. An introduction to renogram curves and the way these curves represent different pathologies is discussed.

Specific objectives
Specific conditions like renal transplant evaluation, renal artery stenosis evaluation and types of radionuclide cystouretherograms are discussed. Multiple representative images offer an opportunity to familiarize the reader with basic image interpretation in various conditions. A list of references is given at the end for those who wish to go into greater detail.
